What is hypnotherapy?
Most of us spend a lot of time trying to think our way out of things. And sometimes that works. But sometimes you can understand something completely and still find yourself doing the same things, feeling the same way, stuck in the same loop.
That's because thinking happens in your conscious mind. And a lot of what drives your behaviour, your habits, and the way you feel about yourself lives somewhere else entirely.
Hypnotherapy works with your unconscious mind, the part of you that runs your automatic responses, your deep-seated beliefs, and the patterns you didn't consciously choose. It gets underneath the thinking and works directly at the root. And that's where real change happens.
Think about it this way. You cannot act outside of your self image for long. It's not a theory or a belief system. It's just how human beings work. If you see yourself as someone who struggles with anxiety, you will find a way to feel anxious. If you see yourself as someone who overeats, you will find a way to overeat. There is absolutely nothing wrong with you, it’s just that your behaviour always catches up with your identity.
That's not a problem though - its actually the solution. Because it means if we change the identity, the behaviour has to follow. It has no other option.
There's a principle that runs through both psychology and spiritual philosophy. We don't experience the world as it is, we experience it as we are. Change who you are at the level of belief and identity, and your experience of the world changes with it.
I offer hypnotherapy because I've seen and experienced its power myself. I quit smoking, drinking and my poor food choices through hypnosis, and it completely changed how I approach habit change with my clients.

You won't be asleep. You won't lose control. You'll be aware the whole time and you can open your eyes whenever you want.
Think about the last time you drove a familiar route and arrived without really knowing how you got there. You were safe the whole time, alert and able to respond to anything, but your conscious mind drifted and your unconscious quietly took over.

How it works.
We start with a free consultation call to talk through what you want to change and make sure hypnotherapy is the right approach for you.
Your first session lasts approximately 60 to 90 minutes. We spend time at the start really understanding what's going on for you before we move into the hypnosis itself.
Following sessions last approximately 40 to 60 minutes.
